BEING HERD
MEET YOUR HORSE
IN THEIR WORLD
Maybe you’re simply curious. You watch videos of wild horses and think:
That freedom. That ease. That clarity. I want that with mine.
Or maybe something feels unclear or even unsafe. Your horse tenses or resists in small moments and although you have a strong connection you still can’t always tell what might happen next, and that uncertainty makes it hard to relax.
People might say you need to be stricter. More confident. More decisive. But being harsh doesn’t feel right. And being soft doesn’t always feel safe either.
Maybe what’s missing isn’t another method. Maybe it’s the ability to read your horse — not just their signals, but their character, their history, and the way they process the world — so you can respond in ways they actually understand whether you’re building something new or deepening what’s already there.
Rewild. Belong. Grow.
The Being Herd Program is a 12-month guided journey into the world of wild horses – exploring you how herds connect, communicate, and keep each other safe. Start anytime, learn at your own pace, and discover how to bring that same natural understanding into the relationship with your own horse.
Relationship
Your horse stays with you by choice, with clear boundaries on both sides and safety in mutual respect.
Communication
You read your horse’s signals, prevent misunderstandings, and respond clearly to what they need.
Responsibility
Your horse follows you in danger willingly, because you’ve made calm decisions that truly kept them safe.
Leadership isn’t about control. It’s about responsibility for those who trust you.
Being Herd is a bridge between wild horses and our own. In a natural band, horses trust only those who consistently make good decisions. When you step into that role, your horse relaxes, stays close, and follows you – even when things get tense.

FROM HERD TO HOME
In the wild, horses don’t follow because they have to.
They follow because something another horse does makes sense to them. The way it moves. The decisions it makes. The steadiness it brings when things get uncertain. Over time, that consistency builds something that can’t be trained – it’s simply recognized. And it only happens within the band. Between horses who have chosen to be together.
That’s a different kind of connection than most of us have been taught to build. It’s not about a technique to apply – but the ability to read who is actually standing in front of you. Their character, their history, their way of processing the world. And to respond in ways that make sense to them – not just in theory, but in the moment that matters.
And when that happens, something changes: your horse chooses to stay close — not because it has to, but because being with you feels like being with someone who truly knows them.
how it feels
Your horse’s behavior stops feeling random – because you begin to see the patterns shaped by their character, their experiences, and the environment around them. You recognize signals that once passed unnoticed. You position yourself calmly and clearly – and it works.
When your horse gets tense, you don’t. You breathe. You stay steady. And they settle because you’re not adding tension. Uncertain moments pass faster.
Misunderstandings happen less. Your horse looks to you more often – not because you’ve trained them to, but because your decisions make sense.
And something else changes too. You stop second-guessing yourself. You don’t feel pressure to perform, fix, or control. Because here, your way of being with your horse isn’t just okay – it’s genuinely welcomed.
These aren’t dramatic transformations overnight. They’re small, consistent shifts that change how everyday moments feel until one day you realize: your horse stays close because being with you feels steady, predictable, and safe. And you feel the same.
Your Questions, Answered
Is this a training method?
Being Herd isn’t a method or a set of techniques you practice in controlled situations. It’s a way of reading — how horses communicate, what they need, and who the individual in front of you actually is. Once that becomes natural, you don’t reach for a technique. You simply respond. Your horse will feel the difference.

This is a structured, step-by-step 12-month learning journey designed to create lasting change in how you and your horse relate to each other.
And when you think about it: $67/month is about the cost of a single riding lesson – but what you learn in Being Herd doesn’t disappear after an hour. It becomes part of how you see and understand your horse, every single day.
What if I don’t have much time?
That’s exactly what this video library is designed for: short, easy-to-follow weekly videos (12–18 minutes) you can watch at your own pace – no schedule to keep up with. Watch them as they’re released or save them for a quiet rainy afternoon – curl up with a blanket and tea, enjoy a few videos, and then try everything out with your horse the next day.
Is there personal support?
Yes – and I truly look forward to your questions. You can send me written questions anytime about your horse or wild horse behavior. I respond personally, usually within 2–3 days, with thoughtful, detailed answers tailored to your situation.
Once a month, there’s also our relaxed live hour, held just before the release of our monthly Deep Dive – a space to connect, listen, ask, or simply be present.
What can I expect over time?
This program is designed to grow with you. Each week adds a new video or resource that builds naturally on the last. At first, you’ll notice small, practical changes – clearer communication, more trust, a calmer connection. Over the months, this deepens layer by layer, giving you a library you can always return to. After those 12 months, your payments stop – but your access continues, including everything released so far and all new resources added in the future.
KIND WORDS
I can’t say enough about how much working with Britta has changed my relationship with my horse. My horse used to be so nervous, and, I’ll admit, there were moments when I felt anxious about what could happen. But Britta showed me how to truly understand wild horse behavior and communication. Through this, I learned to see things from my horse’s perspective, and that has made all the difference.
Now, my horse is so much calmer, and we’re both more relaxed and connected. I’m incredibly grateful for Britta’s help, it’s been a truly transformative experience. I’ve also joined Being Herd, as I can’t wait to learn even more about wild horses.
Working with Britta has been such a relief, I finally feel like I can communicate with Spirit naturally, without all the pressure. I’ve developed my own way of being with him, and it’s made our time together so much more peaceful. I don’t ride as much now; instead, we enjoy relaxed walks, connecting in a way that feels right for both of us. I’m so grateful for this new approach.
A highlight of my month, for over three years, is journaling with Britta and her horses. Britta’s farm is like a sanctuary – a place full of peace. It has, and continues to be, meaningful to learn SO much about myself, way more than years of other counselling.
Finally, able to manifest a lifelong dream of being with horses, I am learning what amazing creatures they are. In my view, they have a lot to teach us humans about how we can more fully maximize our lives.
Britta’s deep wisdom of horses and her gentleness, passion about them, and the lovely way they respond to her is a gift to be in the presence of. They are a gorgeous herd with lots of respect for each other, and clear on who is the leader. Britta is a wonderful facilitator – offering fabulous listening, safety, support, and tremendous insights.
I am delighted Britta has created “Being Herd,” an online adventure where participants can learn more about horses, as well as, how to “be with” and “follow the herd rules” for our mutual joy and growth. Thank you, Britta, for continuing to offer programs full of rich information and experiences.

MY STORY
Natural Leadership | Evolutionary Psychology | Wild Horses
Hi, I’m Britta, and probably like you, I’ve always wanted to communicate with my horse peacefully and naturally, just like with my best friend. This led me on a journey away from trying to create an obedient horse, towards a completely natural way of interaction.
But this journey wasn’t easy or linear. I often struggled to balance tolerance with confidently making clear decisions. Only now, after years of research, trial and error, have I developed my own unique approach: a blend of evolutionary psychology, relational leadership, and of course the direct, observed wisdom of wild horse herds.
Now, I’d love to share this with you through Being Herd.
